Description: Located in a posh locality of Adyar, Chennai for an Advocate client with requirement of a luxury apartment design that reflects Modesty with touch of Minimalism.
The apartment Consist of a 3 Bedroom, Foyer, Living Cum Dining, a Semi open Kitchen and Balcony. To manifest the modesty we came up with thought of using Polished Wood finish with other Colours to each spaces. In the foyer we created a unit that has a mirror and storage which symbolises Self-reflection of the user or guest once they enter. In the Living Area we made a Display unit which is Part open and a Place to relax apart from sofa which symbolizes the concept a homily feeling and a TV unit with minimalist approach while creating balance between open and closed shelf.
The Kitchen was seen directly from seating area so we created Angular Wooden fins which partly breaks the visual link to kitchen while balancing the Semi openness of kitchen it and also creates a pocket For Puja Unit which has a Stepped counter and cupboard below which imitates the Gopuram and doors of a Temple.
In Kitchen we used the approach of modular style and a tint of wooden finish on cabinet which maintains the concept. A part of balcony was designed to serve as Utility and Laundry space for the Client.
The alignment of doors to three bedrooms had created a pocket space so we designed a crockery unit which reflects to the concept with addition of material such Aluminium and Glass to it
The Wardrobes for bedrooms were designed with dual material approach each different from other but conserving the concept of modesty.
